Churchville-Chili, Fairport & the New Hartford Invitational 9/24/08The Pittsford S'Women remain undefeated after a busy past week with 3 meets. Last Tuesday, they traveled to Churchville- Chili High School where they easily won both Varsity and JV. In the 200 medley relay, the team of Meghan Green, Emma Miller, Sarah Dempsey and Katie Dobler finished 1st with Jennifer Proper, Danielle Phillips, Jennifer Conklin and Emily DiPaulo coming in 2nd. In the 200 free, Green won it and also set a new pool record with Shannon Dempsey and Rachel House coming in 2nd and 3rd. In the 200 IM, there was also a Pittsford sweep with Conklin, Dobler and Erica Bryson. In the 50 free, Pittsford's Maddie Ashworth, Phillips and Amanda House finished 3rd, 4th and 5th. Carrie DeMoulin won the diving for Pittsford. Next came the 100 fly, with Green, Danielle Proper and DiPaulo finishing 2-3-4. In the 100 free, Sarah Dempsey won it, setting a new pool record with Alex Trobe and R. House finishing 2-3. In the 500 free, Dobler, Bryson and J. Proper swept it. In the 200 free relay, the team of Sarah Dempsey, Dobler, Miller and Trobe finished 1st and also set a new pool record, with Conklin, J. Proper, Phillips and Bryson coming in 3rd. The rest of the meet was swum in exhibition.The JV team won 118-63. JV winners were the 200 medley relay with Jenny Riley, Mallory Ward, Katie Hart and Olivia Holodnik; 200 free was won by Kala Wilkins; the 200 IM was won by Hart. In the 50 free, Riley was the winner and in the 100 fly Erin Connolly was victorious. Hart won the 100 free and Holodnik won the 500 free. Lydia Hunt was victorious in the 100 back and Mackenzie Ward won the 100 breaststroke.Next, the S'Women traveled to face their rivals in Fairport, where the Varsity won big by a score of 109-74 on Thursday. The 200 medley relay team of Green, Phillips, Sarah Dempsey and Miller finished 2nd, followed by J. Proper, R. House, Conklin and Shannon Dempsey in 4th. Pittsford swept the 200 free with Miller, Trobe and Conklin finishing 1-2-3 and also swept the 200 IM with Sarah Dempsey, Green and House going 1-2-3. Dobler won the 50 free with Shannon Dempsey coming in 3rd. Carrie DeMoulin was 2nd in the diving. Pittsford went 1-2-3 in the 100 Fly with Sarah Dempsey, Conklin and Bryson. Dobler won the 100 free with Shannon Dempsey in 3rd. Green won the 500 free with Miller and Trobe finishing 2nd and 3rd. The 200 free relay team of Green, Dobler, Conklin and Trobe finished 2nd with Shannon Dempsey, Bryson, House and Ashworth finishing 4th. Pittsford went 2-3-4 in the 100 back with Ashworth, J. Proper and Bryson. Phillips finished 2nd in the 100 breast with Mallory Ward and R. House finishing 3rd and 5th. The 400 free relay team of Dobler, Sarah Dempsey, Trobe and Miller came in 1st with DiPaulo, J. Proper, Danielle Proper and Ashworth finishing 3rd.The JV team won even bigger against Fairport, where it was a crushing 134-41. The 200 medley relay team of Riley, Amanda House, Wilkins and Elizabeth Maier came in 1st, with Kaelan Fennell, Mallory Ward, Sydney Ryan and Lydia Hunt finishing 2nd. In the 200 free, Connolly, Holodnik and Emily Himes went 1-2-3 as did Wilkins, A. House and Ryan in the 200 IM. Maier, Anna Grazulis and Izzy Joynt finished 1-2-3 in the 50 Free and Kelsey Telek was 2nd in the diving.In the 50 fly, Wilkins was 1st and Ryan 2nd and in the 100 free, the S'Women went 1-2-3 with Maier, Jamie Tyler and Fennell. Hart, Lainy Hummel and Erin Gaffney finished 1-2-4 in the 500 free. The 200 free relay team of Wilkins, Hart, Connolly and Maier was 1st followed by teammates Joynt, L. Hunt, Grazulis and Holdnik in 2nd. In the 100 Back, Riley won it followed by L. Hunt and Holodnik in 2nd and 3rd and in the 100 breast A. House was 1st with Mackenzie Ward 2nd and Andrea Meyer 4th. In the last event, the 400 free relay, Hart, Tyler, Connolly and Riley won it with Holodnik, Himes, Hummel and Hunt in 2nd.On Saturday, the S'Women traveled to New Hartford for the New Hartford Invitational. Several top teams from across the state competed and Pittsford won with 619.5 points, beating the next closest team by over 200 points. Placing for Pittsford in the 200 medley relay were the teams of Green, Phillips, Sarah Dempsey and Dobler in 3rd, Riley, Mallory Ward, Wilkins and Maier in 7th, Ashworth, R. House, Conklin and Shannon Dempsey in 8th, J. Proper, A. House, Bryson and D. Proper in 9th, and Fennell, Mackenzie Ward, Ryan and Connolly in 12th. In the 200 free, Pittsford placed 4 in the top 16 with Miller, Trobe, Ashworth and Conklin finishing 2-3-8-13. In the 200 IM, Sarah Dempsey finished 2nd, R. House 7th, Green, 9th, Phillips 12th, Wilkins 15th and A. House 16th. Dobler was one of only two 1st place winners for Pittsford with her win in the 50 free. She was followed by Shannon Dempsey in 3rd, Maier in 9th, DiPaulo in 10th, and Riley in 12th. In the 100 fly, Sarah Dempsey finished 2nd, Bryson 5th, Conklin, Maier 11th and Ryan 14th. In the 100 free, Dobler was 2nd, Shannon Dempsey finished 7th, DiPaulo, 10th, Wilkins 12th, and Connolly 16th. Miller was the other 1st place winner, winning the 500 free and setting a new pool record. Pittsford went 1-2-3 in this event with Trobe 2nd, Green 3rd, Bryson 6th, J. Proper 9th and Hart 16th. In the 200 free relay, the team of Miller, Shannon Dempsey, Conklin and Trobe was 2nd, withWilkins, Hart, Riley and Maier 4th, A. House, Bryson, D. Proper, and DiPaulo 9th, Tyler, Hummel, Joynt, and Holodik 12th and Grazulis, A. Hunt, Himes and Ryan 14th. In the 100 backstroke, Ashworth finished 5th, Riley, 8th, J. Proper 9th, D. Proper 11th and Holodnik 15th. In the 100 breaststroke, Mallory Ward finished 6th, Phillips 7th, R. House 8th, A. House, 12th and Mackenzie Ward 14th. The last event was the 400 free relay. The team of Dobler, Sarah Dempsey, Trobe and Miller finished 2nd, Green, Ashworth, House and Phillips were 7th, Hart, Holodnik, Tyler and Connolly 11th and L. Hunt, Hummel, Fennell and Grazulis were 14th.The S'Women have a home meet against Spencerport on 9/23 and then travel to Gates-Chili on 9/25.
