The Pittsford S’Women had a busy week which began with an away meet against Greece Athena/Odyssey on Tuesday, September 12th. The S’Women handily won by a score of 108-66. Double winners for the S’Women were Sarah Dempsey in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard butterfly, Jenny Lewis in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle and Lindsay Wahl in the 100 yard freestyle and 100 yard breaststroke.
Pittsford swept the opening 200 yard medley relay. Wahl, Jessie Ward, Meghan Green and Kelley Groves finished first with Olivia Tylutki, Stephanie Ross, Jennifer Conklin and Lindsay Matthews in 2nd and Katie Dobler, Mandy Ellis, Rachel House and Karin Lee in 3rd. The S’women swept the 200 yard freestyle with Conklin and Kelly Geary finishing behind Lewis. Emma Miller won the 200 yard individual medley with Alex Trobe in 2nd and Tylutki in 4th. Dempsey won the 50 yard freestyle with Dobler in 3rd and Green in 4th.
Morgan Neal, Rachel Delahunta and Katelyn Barclay swept the varsity diving. Dempsey, Green and Trobe finished in 1st, 3rd and 4th in the 100 yard butterfly. Wahl, Geary and Dobler swept the 100 yard freestyle. Aly Criscuolo and Claire Geiser swam to 3rd and 4th place finishes behind Lewis in the 500 yard freestyle. The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Lewis, Dempsey, Miller and Groves won the event with Matthews, Trobe, Criscuolo and House in 2nd . With the score 108-31, the remainder of the meet was swum as exhibition by the S’Women.
The JV S’Women also extended their win streak with a 104-58 victory. Jamie Tyler was a double winner with wins in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle.Maggie Craig, Mallory Ward, Katie Hart and Erin Connolly won the 200 yard medley relay with Paige Hasebe, Emily Himes, Deniz Harland and Helaina Hummel in 2nd place. Tyler, Grace Encherman and Connolly swept the 200 yard freestyle. Maddy Ashworth and Bonita Sur took the top two places in the 200 yard individual medley. Emily DiPaulo sprinted to win the 50 yard freestyle with Danielle Phillips right behind her.
Alana Biltucci and Carrie DeMoulin took the top two spots in diving. Katherine Ross, Kaelan Fennell and Vicky Lagas swept the 50 yard butterfly. Kelsey McManus, Hart and Katherine Valentine followed suit in the 100 yard freestyle. Tyler, Tess Ciaccio and Hummel finished 1-2-4 in the 500 yard freestyle. McManus, DiPaulo, Hart and Encherman won the 200 yard freestyle relay with Ciaccio, Ashworth, Connolly and Lydia Hunt in 2nd. The remainder of the meet was swum as exhibition.
The S’Women then traveled to Owego Free Academy on Saturday, September 16th for the Owego Invitational, where they faced rivals from Section 4. The top finisher for Pittsford was Jenny Lewis who won the 100 yard backstroke, breaking her own pool and meet record with a time of 58.78 sec, and finished 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle.
In the 200 yard medley relay, Lewis, Jessie Ward, Aly Criscuolo and Kelley Groves finished 2nd behind a very strong Ithaca team. Lindsay Wahl, Stephanie Ross, Meghan Green and Emma Miller finished 4th. Wahl, Emma Miller, Alex Trobe, Katie Dobler, Kelly Geary and Olivia Tylutki finished 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 13th, and 16th in the 200 yard freestyle. Sarah Dempsey finished 4th in the 200 yard individual medley with Green 7th, Rachel House 14th and Criscuolo 16th. Groves finished 5th in the 50 yard freestyle with Lindsay Matthews in 13th. Katelyn Barclay dove to a 7th place finish with Morgan Neal in 16th.
Sarah Dempsey, Jennifer Conklin, Criscuolo, House and Kelsey McManus finished 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 16th in the 100 yard butterfly. In the 100 yard freestyle, Lewis finished 2nd with Groves in 5th and Matthews in 11th. Miller, Green, Conklin, Alex Trobe and Geary had a strong 2-3-4-5-10 finish in the 500 yard freestyle. The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Geary, Dobler, Conklin and Trobe finished 4th and the team of Green, Matthews, Dempsey and Miller finished 6th.
Lewis, Wahl, Dobler and Oliva Tylutki touched in 1st, 3rd, 6th and 10th in the 100 yard backstroke. Ward, Ross, Mandy Ellis, Danille Phillips and Claire Geiser finished 3, 8, 10, 11 and 15 in the 100 yard breaststroke. Wahl, Dempsey, Groves and Lewis finished 2nd in the 400 yard freestyle relay with teammates, Geary, Dobler, Conklin and Trobe behind them in 3rd place.
