Pittsford Swimmers and Divers Celebrate Championship Season

The Pittsford Swimming and Diving Team celebrated at a team banquet held December 7th at the Country Club of Rochester. Graduating seniors Susan Allen, Erin Bankey, Katie Harris, Diana Newman, Lindsay Richardson, Kate Wilson and Lauren Wilson delivered heartfelt speeches and Coaches Marty Keating, Beth Dobberstein, and Marsha Carey reviewed the highlights of the season and announced the Monroe All County and All State Team honorees.

All-State Team Honors were awarded to Susan Allen, Courtney Brayman, Libby Brush, Katie Harris, Steph House, Jenny Lewis, Lindsay Wahl, Hailey Weniger, and Kate Wilson. First Team All-County awardees are Allen, Jenna Arington, Brush, Brayman, Harris, House, Lewis, Lisa Prezzano, Wahl, Weniger, and Wilson. Second Team All-County awardees are Erin Bankey, Eliza Massie, Jessie Ward, and Emily Wells.

Pittsford swimmers and divers completed the season undefeated for the second consecutive year and repeated as sectional champions for the second consecutive year. The team is ranked as the number one girl's swimming and diving team in New York State and the State Team returned home as New York State Champions. Throughout the dual meet season the team demonstrated its strength and unbeatable depth, leaving behind numerous pool records from New Hartford to Lockport. The Pittsford S'Women will be left in good hands for the 2004 season, with Co-Captains Courtney Brayman, Libby Brush, and Stephie House leading the Panthers. Coaches Keating, Dobberstein, and Carey look forward to the August pre-season start date.
