Information about Academic All-American:
Individual and Team
1. We would like to make sure that
everyone is aware of all awards that they are potentially eligible for. The first award is the Team Scholar Award.
This is for the ENTIRE Varsity team. It will access our overall GPA as a team. Scott Barker will handle the obtainment and
calculation of everyone’s weighted cumulative GPA. So basically you do not have to do anything,
we just wanted to give you a heads up.
Gold = 3.75 – 4.00
Silver = 3.50 – 3.74
Bronze = 3.20 – 3.49
*All Varsity swimmers will be
included in the application for this award.

2. Individual Academic All-American
is available for seniors only who
have been on varsity for at least 2 years. It uses your weighted GPA so make sure you
follow the instructions on the website below.
Compute using “Option 2: I am using NISCA weighting scale to compute
weighted GPA”. In order to receive this
award, your application must be mailed in immediately after you receive your
grades from the first semester of your senior year. Ask your counselor for a
copy of your transcript.

* 8th grade year does not count in
cumulative GPA, and GPA only consists of
