Pittsford S’Women win Hilton Invitational

Pittsford, September 13, 2010:

Last Saturday, teams from the Rochester area and New York’s Southern Tier convened at the Merton Williams Middle School for the Hilton Invitational.  Representing the eastside suburbs were Pittsford, Victor, Penfield and Brighton while Churchville, Spencerport, West Irondequoit, Greece Athena, and of course Hilton, represented school districts on the westside of the county.  Corning made the trip north while Frewsburg, a community located in Chautauqua County won the prize for the longest drive that day.

In the end, Pittsford’s depth and numerous top place finishes proved too much for the competition as the S’Women won the invitational with a total of 549 points.  Finishing second was Victor with 400 points and Penfield, who placed third, with a total of 336.
