The Pittsford S’Women had a busy two weeks beating Greece Athena/Odyssey and Rush Henrietta in dual meets, finishing second at the Owego Invitational and winning the New Hartford Invitational. Three records were broken – Jenny Lewis set a pool record in the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.20) at Owego and Haley Weniger set two meet records -- in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle (1:56.48 and 5:15.11) -- at the New Hartford Invitational.
The Varsity S’Women defeated Greece Athena/Odyssey 98-70 winning every event that was not swum as exhibition. Lewis was a double winner in the 200 and 100 yard freestyles and Lindsay Wahl was a double winner in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly. Weniger won the 200 yard individual medley and Jenna Arington won the 500 yard freestyle. Eliza Massie took first place in diving. The 200 yard medley relay team of Lewis, Jessie Ward, Aly Criscuolo and Kelley Groves also took first place.
The JV S’Women won by a 99-67 margin. Katie Dobler was a double winner in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly. The JV swimmers and divers also won every event that was not swum as exhibition. The 200 yard medley relay team of Lindsay Matthews, Mandy Ellis, Jennifer Conklin and Sarah Dempsey opened with a victory. Kelsey McManus won the 200 yard individual medley. Dempsey sprinted to a win in the 50 yard freestyle. Hilary Dubeshter won the diving. Conklin was first in the 100 yard freestyle. Kelly Geary won the 500 yard freestyle.
On Saturday, September 17th, the team traveled to Owego for the Owego Invitational where they were narrowly defeated by a strong team from Ithaca, 476-435.50. Massie won the diving for the S’Women and Lewis, the 100 yard backstroke.
The S’Women rebounded with a 113-70 victory over Rush-Henrietta where their depth proved to be their strength. Wahl was a double winner in the 500 yard freestyle and the 100 yard breaststroke. Massie won the diving and Meghan Green won the 100 yard butterfly. The 200 yard relay team of Lewis, Ward, Criscuolo and Groves started things off with a win. Wahl, Stephanie Ross, Emm Wells and Green were in third. Wells was just touched out in the 200 yard freestyle to finish 2nd with Rachel House in 3rd.  In the 200 yard individual medley, Ward, Olivia Tylutki and Alex Trobe took 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Emma Miller was 2nd and Criscuolo 5th in the 50 yard freestyle. Massie, Dubeshter and Rachel Delahunta swept the diving. Green won the 100 yard butterfly with Groves in 3rd and Arington in 4th. Trobe, Tylutki and Wells finished the 100 yard freestyle in 2nd, 3rd and 5th. Wahl, Lewis and Ward swept the 500 yard freestyle.
The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Lewis, Arington, Groves and Weniger won with Green, Miller, Tylutki and Trobe in 3rd. In the 100 yard backstroke, Arington touched in 2nd with Criscuolo in 4th and Claire Geiger in 5th. Wahl won the 100 yard breaststroke with Weniger in 3rd and Lewis in 5th. The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Wahl, Arington, Groves and Weniger won with Tylutki, Green, Miller and Trobe in 3rd.
The JV S’Women won 105-46. Conklin was a double winner. The meet opened with a sweep of the 200 yard medley relay. Matthews, Ellis, Dobler and Dempsey won with McManus, Katherine Ross, Elise Morris and Emily DiPaolo in 2nd and Katie Burch, Jackie Burke, Catherine Tuttle, and Theresa Catteau in 3rd. Conklin won the 200 yard freestyle with Brittney O’Conner in 2nd. Matthews, Karin Lee and Dobler swept the 200 yard individual medley. DiPaolo, McManus and Maddy Ashworth also swept the 50 yard freestyle. Katelyn Barclay and Morgan Neal finished in 1st and 2nd in the diving.
Conklin, Morris and Tuttle swept the 50 yard butterfly. Dempsey, Grace Encherman and Burke did the same in the 100 yard freestyle. Geary, Matthews and Bonita Sur also swept the 500 yard freestyle. The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Encherman, Katie Yan, Ashworth and O’Conner won with Vicky Lagos, Katie Hart, Rosie Entress and Sarah Craig in 3rd. The remainder of the meet was swum as exhibition.
At the New Hartford Invitational, the 200 yard medley relay team of Lewis, Ward, Criscuolo and Groves opened the meet with a victory, just off the meet record time. Weniger won the 200 yard freestyle setting a meet record. Criscuolo won the 100 yard butterfly. Weniger broke her own meet record winning the 500 yard freestyle. The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Lewis, Arington, Groves and Weniger won. Lewis, Wahl and Tylutki took the top three places for Pittsford in the 100 yard backstroke. Ward won the 100 yard breaststroke and the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Wahl, Arington, Green and Weniger ended the meet with a win.
The S’Women travel to Webster Thomas before facing perennial rival Fairport on Thursday.
