Junior Varsity Beats Greece Athena/Odyssey

 

The Junior Varsity S’women extended their record to 3-0 with a 102-50 victory over Greece Athena/Odyssey. The team swept the top three places in 7 of the 8 events that they swam, finished 1st, 2nd, and 4th in one and swam the final three events as exhibition.

 

First place finishers included Jenny Lewis who was a double winner in the 50 yard freestyle and the 50 yard butterfly, Aly Criscuolo in the 200 yard freestyle, Claire Geiser in the 200 yard individual medley, Kathryn Harper in the 100 yard freestyle and Kelly Geary in the 500 yard freestyle.

 

Second place finishes went to Brittany O’Conner in the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard butterfly,  Karin Lee in the 200 yard freestyle, Lindsay Matthews in the 200 yard individual medley, Allie Pink in the 100 yard freestyle and Hannah Bigeleisen in the 500 yard freestyle.

 

Finishing in third place were Chelsea McNamara in the 200 yard freestyle, Kelly Beamish in the 200 yard individual medley, Isha Saini in the 50 yard freestyle, Elise Morris in the 50 yard butterfly, Samantha Robbins in the 100 yard freestyle and Olivia Tylukti in the 500 yard freestyle.  Also putting in strong performances were Kylie Brandt, Alexa Ashworth and Matthews in the 100 yard backstroke and Kelly McMahon, Jordan Snyder, and Priya Sonty in the 100 yard breaststroke.

 

Lewis, Mandy Ellis, Criscuolo and Harper combined for a 1st place in the 200 yard medley relay. Tylukti, McMahon, O’Conner and Pink finished 2nd and Brandt, Sophia Salvia, Bigeleisen and Snyder finished 3rd. Harper, Jacky Davis, Pink and Lewis won the 200 yard freestyle relay. Geary, Kelly Morgenfeld, Ellis and McNamara finished 2nd, and O’Leary, Bonita Sur, Sonty and Elysa Nye finished 4th. Putting in excellent performances in the 400 yard freestyle relay were the teams of Brandt, Geiser, Criscuolo and Tylukti, Ashworth, Beamish, Saini and Lee and Salvia, Robbins, Nye and O’Leary.
